Before You Schedule an Appointment

What to Expect

  • We pride ourselves on our accommodating and personal bridal experience and want every bride to receive the full attention of an experienced consultant. Since our boutique is small and dressing room space is limited, it is in the bride’s best interest to schedule an appointment. Appointments are required on Saturdays and Sundays, but we always suggest making an appointment to ensure that you will have the undivided attention of a consultant and a guaranteed dressing room. We try our best to accommodate walk-ins, however, they can only be seen if there are no other appointments. Our experienced, specialty-oriented consultants are only capable of assisting one customer at a time.
  • Wedding gown appointments are allotted 2 hours so the bride can explore every possibility to find her dream dress. The latest appointment times available are 2 hours before the close of business (Monday-Friday 5:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday 2:00 PM) We can fill up a few weeks in advance on weekends, so it is best to schedule early.

What to Bring

  • Whatever undergarments you deem necessary to wear while trying on gowns (spanx, strapless bras, etc). We do have strapless bras and shoes that can be used during the appointment. Please go light on the make-up and tanner as our gowns are delicate and can be easily damaged.
  • Any photos of dresses you have seen online (we love Pinterest!!) or have tried on elsewhere. This helps us get a better understanding of the styles you like.

Who to Bring

  • Only the closest family or friends whose opinions mean the most. Too many opinions only confuses the bride, we know this from years of experience.
  • Out of respect for our staff and other customers, we have you limit your guests to NO MORE than 4 due to our limited seating and viewing areas.
  • We love kids, however when shopping for a wedding gown or bridesmaids dresses you need to be able to focus without distractions. A bridal salon is not a fun place for children and they will become bored quickly. It can also be unsafe for them due to loose pins and other hazards.

Our Designer Gowns

  • We carry a wide array of sample gowns in sizes 6 to 32W. These styles can be special ordered in the appropriate size for the bride. Sizing is determined by comparing the bride’s measurements to the designer’s size chart. Dresses are not custom made to a customer’s specific measurements so size is typically determined by the largest measurement; therefore alterations are expected with any gown purchase in order to achieve the perfect fit.

Special Ordering

  • Our designer gowns require many months of preparation. We recommend ordering at least 8 months before your wedding to assure time for alterations. Some designers offer rush shipping if available.
  • A minimum of ½ down of the cost of the dress is required upon ordering, the other half is due before alterations are started.
  • Your special order is shipped to Today’s Bride and can be stored here until your wedding day. Alteration appointments are held in-store with our experienced seamstress and should be scheduled at least 6 weeks prior to the wedding day. Alterations are a separate fee paid directly to the seamstress.
  • Some designers offer rush shipping for an additional fee.
  • A deposit of 50% is required to place an order. The balance is due prior to alterations or within 30 days of the order being received, whichever occurs first.
  • The bride will receive a complimentary gown pressing before the wedding/pick-up date.

Wedding Attendants

  • Bridesmaids, mother of the occasion, and flower girl dresses are also samples that are special ordered. Our designers have endless color options that the dresses can be ordered in. These dresses take 10-12 weeks to be ordered and will likely need alterations which can be scheduled at our shop no later than 6 weeks before the event.
  • When scheduling an appointment for bridesmaids to come in, we allot 2 hours and take the latest appointment 2 hours before the close of business. These appointments must be made separate from a wedding gown try-on, and it is helpful if the bride has already picked out prospective styles/colors/designers. A ½ down deposit is required upon ordering these dresses also.
  • Tuxedo rentals must be reserved no later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding/event date.
